It wasn’t that long ago that email marketing was synonymous with promotional email blasts directed at large lists of prospective customers. With the rise of web and mobile applications, transactional email has become a necessary communication channel for businesses. Whether it be up-selling existing customers or establishing a reputation of reliability, many companies are only scratching the surface on transactional email’s potential.
Tim leads the SendGrid developer relations team in their quest to empower developers to tackle big challenges and spark innovation around email as a platform. He also helps bring hackdays to cities across the globe as a co-organizer of API Hackday. Beyond SendGrid, Tim helps accelerate the startup community in Boulder, CO, as producer of Boulder Beta and community volunteer at TechStars. Outside of work, Tim spends his time enjoying the Rocky Mountains with his pitbull named Khan.
Danny Randa has been working in digital marketing since the launch of Nickelodeon’s virtual world Nicktropolis in 2006. After three years of managing interactive marketing campaigns for Nickelodeon’s game, he completed an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the Leeds School of Business in Boulder, CO. He now works at SendGrid helping developers solve their email deliverability challenges.
